The name means “words” in Urdu (الفاظ). alfaaz brings the whole arc of a book into one place — drafting the manuscript, planning its structure, and preparing print-ready and digital editions.
Open alfaazThe editor is built around chapters, with scenes, characters, and notes kept alongside the text. Work autosaves as you type, and a book can be shared with collaborators who edit together with conflict-safe saving.
Two planning layers sit next to the draft. Story structure uses beat-sheet templates — three-act, hero’s journey, Save the Cat, seven-point, and story circle — with intent notes mapped to chapters. Scenes are freeform cards you attach to a chapter and a beat.
When a draft is ready, alfaaz generates print-ready PDF and EPUB editions. Typesetting includes full support for Urdu Nastaliq and Arabic alongside Latin scripts, with a library of book fonts.
alfaaz is in active development. If you have an account, you can open the writing app to pick up where you left off.
